Fall Wedding
Ducky-Bob’s together with noted Dallas wedding planner Mary Wright Shah and the staff of the Four Seasons Hotel & Resort at Las Colinas transformed a hillside of the golf course’s 18th fairway into a fantasy wedding reception venue. The dream was to look out into the night’s twinkling lights while celebrating their wedding reception with 500 guests. The remote location required leveling a plane for the main structure tents. The west side of the tent and its balcony were on 15’ legs, while the east side rested on the ground. Guests arrived by limousine to a grand walkway. As they made the assent to the structure, they stopped for champagne, signed the guest registry and were greeted by real penguins – a request for the black & white attired groom.
Dramatic leaf and branch gobos and colored lighting were projected on the gable end of the tent. The “big as Texas” tent, walkway, floral arrangements, swags, buffets, cakes, and drinks were made for a dream-come-true wedding celebration. Even the neighbors were invited in appreciation for temporarily losing their golf course view!
